If I were Israeli...

Would this be treason?

Go to "Thoughts on the American election"

"What I say is I have faith in the efficiency of the law.
Perhaps that is because I'm a lawyer and not a missionary.
But I think history, which proves so many things, proves me right."
Thurgood Marshall

The great shampoo and toilet paper embargo of '04.
They gonna be uncomfortable from top ta bottom.

Crime and Punishment

Could an Israeli write a note to the embassies of the Christian nations (other than the United States), without committing treason, saying:

"Whereas sixty percent of us believe the settlements in Palestine should be abandoned (Source: Forward (American Jewish weekly)) and since they were illegal in the first place:

"The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts
of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies."

Paragraph 6 Article 49 of The Geneva Convention of 1949.

"And whereas we are ruled by the vile Likud racist and land thief, Ariel Sharon, who, September, 2000, incited the current riot by intruding upon a contested holy site under armed guard, symbolically proclaiming that:

'There will never be an end to the settlements,
There will never be an end to the ethnic cleansing,
There will never be a Palestinian State,
And its capital will never be East Jerusalem...'

"Ariel Sharon, who then rose to power on the platform that he would be the best (most brutal) person to put down the riot that he himself started,

"Ariel Sharon who recently met five minutes with Boy George... The Wacko from Waco, The Great Connector of Dots, Conqueror of Baghdad and Fallujah, Instrument of the Messiah.... and got him to announce:

'Permanence of the settlements on the West Bank?
Sounds good ta me, yup...'

"Could you please send your war ships to the Eastern Mediterranean and the Gulf of Aqabah and create what we might call, for the moment, ... congestion... around our ports and start a big noisy conversation... with other Christian nations which do same... about our shampoo supply, our toilet paper supply and Paragraphy 6, Article 49 of The Geneva Convention of 1949?"

Could an Israeli, without committing treason, write an additional note to the Russian Embassy, and say:

"You know, you've got a few war ships in the Black Sea, at least.

"Could you say something like:

'Oh, we are so embarrassed that Likud and Jerry Falwell have loaded the joint up with fundamentalist wackos from Russia such as:

'We are totally embarrassed and can't vote for action against Arab racists in the Security Council because the wackos in the States aren't doing anything about the Jewish racists in Israel or the Christian racists in the States.

'We're going to start the toilet paper embargo, etc. and ask Turkey and other NATO countries to join us.'"

And could an Israeli, without committing treason, write to the embassies of the Arab and other predominantly Muslim nations saying some of those same things and adding:

The Government of Israel must abandon the settlements on the West Bank as well as those of Gaza. The Government of the United States is in a position to force Israel to do so. By simply turning down the aid dollars and other simple acts.

Both governments need to explain to the world why everybody else has to obey Paragraph 6 of Article 49 of the Geneva Convention of 1949 but Israel does not. For the moment, the answer is "Might makes right and they don't have to if they don't want to."

Which makes American representations concerning its love of freedom and the rule of law quite dubious in the eyes of the 200 nations that regularly vote against Israel in the United Nations.

The American Presidents don't "get it". In some instances they know they can only accomplish "this" but not "that". In some instances they seem simply ignorant of the persistent message this sends to the world in general and Muslim peoples in particular. In other instances they clearly don't want to "get it".

Time to force Israel to deal with its lawlessness and to do so in the context of an American election year.

It would be best if "congestion" around the ports of Israel were created by Christian or nominally Christian nations.

Of course this would not prevent Muslim, Buddhist and other nations from vociferously pressing the matter with the Christian or nominally Christian nations. And asking them why they haven't done something like this before. Since the end of the Cold War, at any rate.

Forcing Israel to obey the law will be good for everyone. Including the Israelis.

I don't know... would it be treason?

How 'bout if a Yank did it?

Would that be treason?

Apparently not because I have, or I'm half way through the list of Washington embassies and still chipping away at it.

If they thought police were going to show up, I expect they would have by now.

For myself, I am returning to Australia after the American elections.
Australia where all my Jewish friends are vociferously anti-Likud and anti-American on the settlements issue.

I shall not work or pay taxes in the United States again until the Fence is on the Green Line and the settlements are abandoned and turned over to the Palestinians.

How can I do that?

Cuz I'm an Australian citizen, too.

And I'd like ta thank me old friend, John Howard, for goin' right 'long with Georgie Boy's game in Iraq. Prob'ly woulda treated us as bad as the Canadians if ya 'adn't... cut off the croc meat contracts for the meals ready to eat. Poor Diggers. Ours too. Bloody mayhem doin' all that before Boy George did somethin' 'bout the settlements... which is what his own consultants told 'im before September 11 and Colin Powell certainly told 'im after.

And to Rupert Murdock I'd like to say: "Bloody war monger racist Fox fuck... Australia's lucky to be rid of you."

Ariel Sharon... Binyamin Netanyahu... Jerry Falwell...

Vous êtes des chiens.
Chiens racistes.
Porcs racistes.
Vous êtes vieux.
Vous êtes gros.
Vous êtes remplis de haine.
Vous covetez.
Vous volez.
Vous détestez.
Vous tuez.

May you live another ten years
To see the Fence on the Green Line.
And the settlements abandoned.

Jerry Falwell, plus que tout autre Américain.
Ariel Sharon, plus que tout autre Israeli.
Je vous accus.
Je vous accus de faire à la grande tristesse des Notre Mère la Terre.

Je vous accus de Septembre 11.
